What does it consist of?

The creation of the IRIB Foundation is a result of the need to coordinate efforts between the centres in the R&D&i system regarding the number of researchers, competitiveness and knowledge transfer. Consequently, the project intends, on the one hand, to provide an administrative setting to act as a promotional platform for all of the institutes with management structures that make it possible to accelerate the process of evaluating knowledge, to attract research talent and, finally, to encourage entrepreneurial and research spirit at all educational levels.

The project

The creation of the IRIB Foundation stems from the need to co-ordinate efforts between R&D&I system centres in terms of number of researchers, competitiveness and knowledge transfer. The creation of the IRIB Foundation has three main objectives:

1. To provide an administrative setting to act as a platform for promoting all the institutes with a management structure that enables the knowledge assessment process to be sped up.

2. To capture research talent and efficiency in securing competitive funds based on high-level scientific activity.

3. To foster the spirit of business and research initiative at all levels of education by boosting the visibility of regional technological research and development.

The initiative behind this project will enable the hiring of research staff affiliated to Balearic Islands research centres to be managed more effectively. It will also allow for the research activity of the staff hired through the initiative of this foundation to be assessed, acting basically as a unifying element for pre-existing services, although it should also have a minimal management team.
